Hazy mornings

February 3, 2025

For the past two days I've been slaving myself up against my own will at 7:30AM for the stupidest reason. The process of waking up was horrible, and there was the angel and devil each going back and forth in my mind on what is better. Do I savour the little extra sleep? Or do I sacrifice my sleep and go early so I minimize the risk of my chargers being stolen. Fortunately, I chose the latter.

I usually study at DC till ~midnight, and I kept on leaving my chargers there, and it sort of sucked since I couldn't do my bedtime reeling. The bigger problem was that when I woke up on Sunday, I searched and saw that the library didn't even open until 11am. 2 hours of sleep was stolen for this, and I'd made a fool of myself. And then today I did the same thing and left my charger at the library.

The morning today was quite foggy but not too chilly, and I think I enjoyed that weather quite bit. It fit greatly with my hazy early mornings, such that the first two hours that I was awake felt like I was walking around a small little seaside town by the shore, all misty. The music genre I had on was like a cherry on top. While this morning sensation was great, it also caused me to zone out for my 8:30am lecture. The one time I went!

I joke around about my antiposition on early mornings and all, but in the next few months I do hope that I will be in a position to wake up like this everyday.
